The Parish Council are very aware of the issues caused by the recent spell of Arctic weather. We would like to emphasise that all our 30 plus salt bins were checked to have adequate supply of gritting salt during the month of November.Sadly most of this has been used or disappeared prior to the icy spell that this weekend brought. Our regular suppliers are currently out of stock because of the unusual demand but have promised delivery within the next two weeks.
We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused.
New Councillors
Any person interested in the vacancies for Parish councillors are advised to contact the Parish Clerk for further information.
Exploring our footpaths
Many of the Parish boundaries originated from the Treverbyn Manor, which was the Gill Estate. Most of the Parish footpaths were probably used by the Estate workers to get to and repair properties, and to get to work in the China clay pits. Below you can download a list of the parish footpaths and there is also a link to the Cornwall Council interactive map show public rights of way. The photo gallery on our website also shows scenes from some of these walks.New Community Greenspace
We are seeking your ideas for ways to improve an area of public greenspace adjacent to the Carluddon Roundabout and ESAM building.21st July 2022

Litter Picking
I wanted to extend a big thank you to Jason Rowe and his daughter Codi who while walking there dog take a litter bag and grabber and take it upon themselves to keep Stenalees village clean. It's so nice to see people take pride in the Village and such a shame they have to do this when there are bins provided. Thank you to all who look after where they live.Treverbyn Parish Council was formed in 1983 to serve a parish which is essentially rural with extensive areas of China Clay workings and sites of previously worked tin and copper mines. Much of the land was principally owned by the Clay companies and these clay workings have been a dominant feature of the landscape and formed the character of the area. The larger centres of population, Bugle, Carclaze, Penwithick, Stenalees and Trethurgy, housed mainly workers within the industry and the smaller hamlets of Bowling Green, Carthew, Carluddon,Rescorla, Rosevear, Ruddlemoor and Scredda have their own individual identities within the mining community.
It is important to protect our environment, reinstate our wildlife, and keep our footpaths open so our heritage can be enjoyed by many more generations to come, and this the Parish Council has worked towards since its formation in 1983. The Parish faces many challenges over the next few years. Treverbyn Parish has a uniqueness all of its own and we are adamant we do not want to lose this heritage and the Parish Council therefore firmly oppose any proposed alterations to our Parish boundaries in the Local Government Boundary Review.
